Michael’s practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution in the fields of electrical, computer, software, and mechanical engineering.  His background includes over 14 years of pre-law engineering experience, primarily as a software engineer at Walt Disney World Company where he received several patents.


Michael received his J.D. and LL.M in Intellectual Property, cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2009, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University in 1990, and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Boston University in 1994.


After receiving his law degree, Michael joined Lando & Anastasi LLP, and later McCarter & English, LLP, both in the Boston area. He is a member of the state bars of New Hampshire and Massachusetts and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Currently Michael is an adjunct professor at UNH Law teaching practical skills courses in patent preparation and prosecution to J.D., LL.M. and M.I.P. degree candidates.


Michael is also a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
