The firm model upon which Finch & Maloney is based was synthesized from the collective experiences of the founders, including over a decade at large law firms in Silicon Valley and Boston and another decade at smaller firms and as in-house counsel. The model recognizes that high-quality patent prosecution services can be provided both by U.S. counsel and at a reasonable cost.
Our professionals are required to have excellent writing skills and are free to operate in a low overhead work environment unencumbered by high billing rates. In addition, many of our attorneys and agents have substantial engineering experience and/or advanced degrees.
The result is an exceptional work product at a very competitive cost. Simply stated, we take the time to understand our clients’ technology and business goals because we can.
In order to provide such quality and cost effective service, the firm model further recognizes that the most important assets of any organization are the people that walk in the door every morning. To this end, the model allows for profitability sufficient to attract and retain the most talented and efficient lawyers.
Although there are a number of billing arrangements that we can provide for our clients, our lawyers are allowed to be project-oriented, which places less focus on the billable hour and helps maintain client costs.
